Nature Energy appoints former FLSmidth Vice President as new chief technology officer

On October 1st 2021, Søren Holm will commence as chief technology officer in Nature Energy, where he will be a part of the executive management at the large, Danish biogas producer.

Søren Holm will thereby also be responsible for Nature Energy’s research & development department. For example, the department is doing research in Power-to-X, which will make it possible to use the clean CO2 from the biogas production to produce even more green fuels in the future.

Søren Holm will join Nature Energy from FLSmidth, where he through the last 20 years have had several important positions, and he will leave the position as Vice President, Head of Engineering.

About his new commencement, Søren Holm states:

“I would like to take part in the work to increase the importance of biogas in the green transition, where Nature Energy plays a great part. This applies to Denmark – but certainly also internationally, where the transition to green energy sources is moving with full speed ahead. Here, biogas is one of the crucial technologies to limit the climate impact globally.”

About the appointment, CEO of Nature Energy, Ole Hvelplund, says:

“We are very happy to be able to attract a strong profile like Søren Holm, who brings international experience from FLSmidth. His abilities will be of great benefit to Nature Energy, and will contribute positively to our ambitions of scaling the business and extend to new markets”.
